How to use TalkTommy

The first time you open the TalkTommy app, loading will take a while. It takes about 30 seconds to download the free libraries. This is only happening the first time, the libraries are then stored on your iPad.

After loading you choose the big TalkTommy button for playing with TalkTommy.

The settings button takes you to the settings department. This is where you control your libraries and pictures.

This is what we call the player part. This is where it's all about. The player part is the part of the app your child will love.

We kept it as simple as possible. The three pictures in the top-bar represent the available libraries. In the settings part of the app you can choose which libraries will appear here. When there is only one active library, the top bar will disappear for an even simpler appearance.

There are no settings or other buttons in the player interface. We chose to keep this out of the way in this field. Quit - by pressing the Ipad's home button -  and relaunch TalkTommy to access the settings.

The settings department is the place to control your libraries, buy libraries or buy the Creator part of the app.

On the left you'll find the TalkTommy standard libraries that downloaded on the first launch.
My Libraries is the area where your self-made libraries will appear.

On the right side of this screen you'll find the libraries that can be bought directly from within the app.

The Play button on the top right side leads you back to the player, out of the settings area.

The Edit button in the top left is for editing your libraries. You can reorder the libraries or even delete those you don't need.

The violet Create your own Libraries! button leads you to the in App creator part. It can be bought from within the app.

When opening a library in the settings environment, a small > appears in the black top banner.
Clicking this >  will open the settings for this library.

The show slider indicates if the library will be visible in the player.

Buying the Creator part of the app, will unveil the uniqueness of TalkTommy. Now your are able to create your own personalized libraries. 

Give the library a name and an icon and you are ready to go!

Add a picture from own of your albums. Square pictures of 320 by 320 pixels work best.

Tip: use the fabulous and free PhotoPad app to crop and scale your pictures right on your iPad.

Now record a sound, using your iPad's microphone, and give it a title. Click the Done button to save your changes. Your first icon is made!
